Elizabeth Gilbert says, “Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings.”

The above quote, pretty much sums it up: I’m on this journey to create a lifetime of happiness.  I recently read Stephen King’s latest novel, 11/22/63, in which he uses the phrase “little by slowly.”  I’m not sure how frequently this verbiage occurred in the 1960’s, as I wasn’t around, but it stuck with me.  I plan on pursuing my happiness, little by slowly, or however I see fit.

I am a social worker from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, that currently resides in Chicago.  I have a dry wit, and I don’t take myself too seriously. I am a bit existential and love good records.  Admittedly, this sounds like a dating profile…. I have a boo, though. 😉
